Shopping Excursion

Yesterday, my friend and I went shopping at Central Market and Whole Foods.

I had never been to either one of these stores.

It was interesting.  We had fun just looking and tasting everything.  Lots of samples!

I ended up spending more than I usually would on certain items but I just wanted to try them out.

I bought:
  • 3 different kinds of sausage that had no preservatives and only "natural" ingredients
  • some organic free range chicken broth
  • organic vegetable broth
  • strawberries
  • bananas
  • baguettes sliced (ds's request, he like the "little bread" that all the samples came on)
  • natural peanut butter smooth and creamy
  • UnieKaas Parrano Cheese (i dunno, but the sample was delicious!)
  • Large bottle of extra virgin olive oil
  • breakfast bread (yum!)
  • a few packages of fruit leather to taste
  • sunflower seeds
I spent about $50!!!! Just on this.  Like I said, I wouldn't normally spend so much and the only thing that I really saved on was the olive oil and the peanut butter.  The rest made up for it. LOL.

I'm glad you got to go! I've never been to Central Market (I guess they're only in Texas?!)...but I love Whole Foods! I wish we had one here.
We're planning on stopping at Whole Foods & Trader Joe's (another store similar to WF) in Nashville on the way home from the wedding next weekend!
